Founded by family therapists, Second Nature Wilderness Programs' roots in family systems-based treatment run deep. Beginning with a caring and expert admissions staff, families are exposed to the most comprehensive family support and education in wilderness therapy. From our innovative parent-to-parent mentor program to live, interactive and bi-weekly, webinars, Second Nature families are provided 3 to 5 hours of support each and every week.
You are strongly encouraged to involve family members or other support individuals. Your family is then asked to attend family therapy or family support groups while you are in the program. Weekly phone calls between your therapist and family will yield insightful and individualized assignments that facilitate family healing. Therapists have access to a vast library of therapeutic readings and assignments from the Second Nature library and choose from these resources appropriate weekly assignments for families.
Email and cell phone access to your therapist ensures that questions and struggles of family members are handled in a timely and professional manner. Second Nature consistently strives to sensitively and therapeutically guide you and your family through each stage of treatment.
